Stone system introduces three sculptural prototypes: the marble fridge, a mineral filter made from Valser quartzite and stove parts in basalt stone. The system shows how stone as an ever lasting material can be used within its physical properties visualising heat, cold and water. A respectful revival of a disappearing craft and material use.

In keeping with the label’s heritage of recasting workwear as a subcultural uniform, the space has a rugged quality, from its aggregate-concrete flooring up to a ceiling festooned with serried banks of pendant lamps. The displays are crafted from appropriately utilitarian and durable materials in warm tones of deep brown and tan – wall panels of rugged canvas and graphic, freestanding custom-moulded units, which can be relocated and recombined to create a continually evolving retail environment

British luxury brand Mulberry appointed interior designer Faye Toogood to create the new retail concept. Inspired by the painterly qualities of bucolic British landscapes and the strong, but simple geometric forms of Brutalist architecture, the teams have explored the beauty of contrasting materials, volumes, shapes, scales and sensibilities, throughout their design concept.
Looking to collectively redefine the shopping experience, Mulberry and Toogood developed fresh, contemporary interiors that read more like a welcoming home, than a traditional retail environment. Sophisticated but untraditional and strikingly modern with a hint of heritage, the retail redesign captures the essence of Mulberry’s point of view, creating a tactile universe in which the brand can be rediscovered.

Casa Uh-May is located in Francisco Uh-May, in the state of Quintana Roo. The idea of this residence starts with the encounter of ‘the ruin’ which determines both the materiality and form as well as the design strategy. The architectural layout is based on the structure of haciendas in which the rooms are organised around an open internal space.

The installation ‘Second Life’ took place at Casa Möbius, the studio and home of the late modernist architect Ernesto Gamez Gallardo. The project calls into question the hows and why's of preservation. It asks the question: “Once an architecture is declared worthy of protection, how is it conserved without being conservative?” Being conscious of the subjectivity of what is considered to be of artistic value, to what extent the existing regulations can be counterproductive and restrictive, preventing the properties acquiring a second life.

The Knife Sharpener is a respectful revival of a disappearing craft. Two unique knife sharpening tools emerged in collaboration with the family business Ardennes-Coticule (BE). One of the last quarries left mining both Belgian Blue Whetstone BBW + Coticule. Handpicked on site and shaped into two unique types of tools using local craftsmen and the stones physical properties. The Knife Sharpener honours both the tradition of knife sharpening and the scarcity of the material. A good quality knife and its whetstone exist for a lifetime if taken care of.
